This necessity also affects the in-house flow of material which, according to recent studies, accounts for no less than 60% of the processing times.

We have made it our objective to optimise both the storage and the flow of materials. In addition to concentrating on the highest possible degree of space utilisation, we focus on achieving fast access times, optimised warehouse management and high reliability of operation.

As the warehouse management software with transponder system supports multiple users, the BÖCKELT TOWER allows all employees and departments of the company to share the latest overview of the current stock. Better still, this overview does not only provide information about the material inventories, but also indicates where the material is currently positioned in the BÖCKELT TOWER.

The cassettes are equipped with state-of-the-art RFID technology and are detected automatically as soon they are stowed at the storage location in the BÖCKELT TOWER.

It is possible to assign any number of items, e.g. metal sheets, metal sheet packages, printed circuit boards, remnants, long goods, coils, tools and other types of material to the same cassette.

The combined slide and cassette storage system allows for a quick change of material and an optimised production process.

The exchange tower BÖCKELT TOWER allows for seamless access to several types of materials without the need for a forklift.

The basic version of the exchange tower is based on a slide system composed of at least 5 levels and offering additional storage thanks to a top-loading option.

The front booms can be pivoted and locked into place using solid machine feet.

This movement brings a rail mount system into position which, in conjunction with flanged wheels with double bearing, allows the user to easily move the drawers, which can be loaded with up to 3 tons of material.

When pulled forward, the material becomes exposed and accessible for extraction by vacuum suction cup or crane.

You can use a forklift to load and unload the drawers of the exchange tower on both sides.

The option to load the tower from both sides provides for greater flexibility in tight spaces notwithstanding the layout of the production facility.

It is possible to place both Böckelt Tower system cassettes and individual metal sheets, wooden pallets or factory packages onto the sturdy drawers.

CLEVER MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE OFFERS A CONSTANT OVERVIEW OF MATERIAL
The management software for all things that involve the BÖCKELT TOWER® sheet metal rack offers a constant overview throughout the entire enterprise and thus offers a high benefit for all departments. The individually configurable BÖCKELT TOWER® software ensures increased performance and clever support for the purchasing organisation. The sheet metal storage management software permits deposition of plant certificates and enables analysis of material movements. In addition, the management software offers export functions, chaotic warehousing is enabled and a stack terminal with weighing device can be integrated as an option.

INTELLIGENT TRANSPONDER SYSTEM CONSIDERABLY REDUCES MATERIAL SEARCH TIME
Use of the BÖCKELT TOWER® transponder system minimises the time necessary to find materials and access the storage system. Through assignment of the items, e.g. metal sheets, profiles, pipes, to the cassette you are using – the position will be detected automatically and constantly updated by the system. In conjunction with the sheet metal storage management software Böckelt has developed an absolutely smart and optimal solution for item maintenance, i.e. stock maintenance. The stored metal sheet packages are assigned to the cassette used in the management software. The cassette can be placed randomly in any available storage location in the BÖCKELT TOWER®.
